Whirl Wind!!!!

My oh my what a month!!  The month of May is flying by...well pretty much this whole year has.  I cannot believe that on Sunday my Hubby and I will be married for a WHOLE YEAR!!  It just seems insane to think that!  It has been the best year of my life by far.  Nothing is better than beginning a new life with the number one person who lights up your life.  I am sooooooooooooo MEGA lucky to have such a loving, caring, supportive, funnny, and handsome hubby.  God has truly blessed me!  Especially with all of the craziness in my life just this past month.  I wouldn't want any one else by my side.   I shall be back soon with pictures from our anniversary....  Have a FABULOUS weekend everyone!

P.S.-  Guess who is going to be seeing Taylor Swift in concert....you guessed it....this girl!  SUPER EXCITED!!

Coupons....coupons....coupons!!

Boy, who would have thought couponing could become addictive?!?!  I never thought I would be scopiing out Sunday papers for great coupon deals.  This past weekend, I got my first freebies!!!  I was beyond excited!  My couponing has gotten pretty good, if I do say so myself.  So let's talk saving...  on Saturday I discovered a Degree Deodorant deal that was too good to pass up.  I am in LOVE with Target and their fantastic coupon deals they provide to customers.  I had one Manufacturer Coupon for a $1.00 off when you bought one men's or women's Degree Deodorant as well as one Target Coupon for a $1.00 off the same thing.  Therefore, I could get a total of $2.00 off one Degree Deodorant.  WELL, the deodorant was only a $1.97 sooooooooooooo you guessed it....I got it for FREE!!!  WOO HOO!!!  I also got some great deals on on Zyrtec.  My hubby has pretty bad allergies so he has started taking Zyrtec daily and well in case you don't know, it is kind of expensive.  For 24 pills of Zyrtec, it is a whopping $17.99 at Target.  Well when you have a Manufacturer Coupon for $4.00 and a Target Coupon for $4.00, you are able to get it for $9.99.  Great right?!?!?  Well, in this week's coupons there is a $7.00 coupon for Zyrtec (manufacturer) and when you use that with the Target Coupon, you could get it for $6.99.  CRAZINESS!!!!!  Aren't coupons just FaNtAsTiC!???  I LOVE THEM!!!

Coupon Queen...well not quite!

For those of you who don't know, I have gone a little crazy for coupons...lol!  I have my mom sending me their coupons, buying newspapers every weekend, and I even have them organized in a binder!  I know, I know, it is a little much but it all pays off in the end with such great deals!

  If you do not coupon, then you may not know that Target will stack coupons which means they will take a Target coupon as well as a Manufacturer coupon...CHA-CHING!  I got a few great deals today and thought I would share them with you all!

Here they are:

         Kraft Shredded Cheese: $2.69 a bag

I had a Target coupon ($1.50) as well as a Manufacturer coupon ($1.00) which saved me $2.50 when I bought two bags.  So I got two bags for $1.44 a piece and that made my total before tax and coupons was $5.38 and after it all was $2.88.  GOOD DEAL!

        Tresemme Hair Spray: $3.34 a can

I just had a Target coupon for $1.00 off  which made it $2.34 a can but hey still saved some money.

        Zantac Maximum Strength Heartburn Relief: $7.59 for 24 count

I had a Target coupon ($2.00) as well as a Manufacturer coupon ($2.00) which saved me

 $4.00 total per box.  So I got a 24 count box of Zantac for $3.59!  That is more than half off!   BEST DEAL of the day!

EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!

I am pleased to announce the arrival of my sweet nephew!  We have been patiently waiting for him to finally show his precious little face and he has!  I absolutely LOVE being an aunt and I cannot wait to start spoiling my special little guy!  Sorry I won't be sharing pictures for everyone to see on this one, sometimes special sweeties are just meant for the family to see!  Hope everyone has a great week!  I know I will!!!!

P.S.-  Today me and my sweet hubby have been married ten months!  I cannot believe how fast the time has gone.  I couldn't be more blessed!!!

REWWWWWIIIIIIIIINNNNNNDDDDDD!!!

Boy oh boy, has it been crazy around here!?!?!  We have been all kinds of busy.  I told myself I would blog more this year but finding the time just seems impossible.  Anyways,  I wanted to recap from the past few weeks and catch everyone up to speed! 

  First things first, my hubby and I celebrated our very first Valentine's Day together as husband and wife.  It was absolutely perfect!  We both had to work during the day and decided we would celebrate that night.  Well, as my class and I were working like busy little bees, in comes an office staff person with a beautiful bouquet of a dozen roses.  They were gorgeous!  I was so impressed that the old hubby splurged and bought roses AND had them delivered....lol!  Once we both got home, we began to get ready and head out to dinner.  Well, he took me to one of my favorite places to eat...Outback.  I absolutely LOVE their Bloomin' Onion!  We had a fantastic dinner and then headed to Dairy Queen for some yummy dessert (another favorite I might add.)  We got home and well I had been in work clothes all day then dressed up for dinner, so before this girl could open up presents, the comfy clothes had to get on!  LOL!  My hubby got me a SUPER cute camera strap that I wanted off of Etsy (LOVE IT!).  I was mega excited because I had been looking since Christmas for one and this one is perfect.  And I got the best wife award for my gift...lol...since I got a gift card for a round of golf.  He was very excited!  Overall, we had a great Valentine's Day and really enjoyed being able to take time out of our day to celebrate our love for one another.

  Next in line, we celebrated nine months of marriage this past Tuesday.  It was a perfect day!  I was super nervous about my last observation for work and had my hubby help me all weekend preparing for it.  Well, it was a huge hit with my kids, principal, EVERYONE!  It couldn't have went better!  So my day definitely started well and then I came home to a sweet hubby with my reward...Chick-Fila (absolute fave)!!!    Needless to say we had a very quiet, lazy night at home...which is just what I needed!  Oh and my hubby surprised me on Friday night by giving me another reward for my observation, some shopping money!!!  I was UBER excited!! 

Last but not least, this weekend we went to see Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, and Jerrod Neimann in concert.  Can we just say AMAZING!!  We had floor seats (thanks to my parents) and we were right in the middle of all the action.  Darius Rucker is great in concert.  Not only does he sing all of his country hits but he also sings some Hootie and the Blowfish songs, a little Family Traditions by Hank Williams, and some Purple Rain by Prince.  He was great!  Then good ole' Brad came out and we were not disappointed!  No wonder he was Entertainer of the Year this year!  He came out into the crowd and sat about five rows in front of us and sang.  So AWESOME!  We had an absolute blast!

Now, we are just taking it easy on this stormy Sunday afternoon.  Doing a little bit of laundry here and there, cleaning up the kitchen, and relaxing on the couch.  Hopefully, this next week will go by quickly and we can get back to another weekend!  Have a good week!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Has Cupid hit??

Not yet but tomorrow he will for sure!  Lucky for me, Cupid came to visit me today with a gift from my AMAZING parents!  What you might ask....how about floor seats to a Brad Paisley concert!!!!  I am SUPER EXCITED!!!!  (If you can't tell)  I have seen Brad Paisley before and well he is phenomenal in concert.  I cannot wait to go again!  I just want to give a shout out to my parents and say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Now let's just see what the hubby has in store for our first married Valentine's Day.   Oh I am sooooo excited!  I couldn't ask for a better Valentine!

Fabulous Friday!

Well, if you are not from the Tennessee area then you may not know we have had some snow the past few days.  Since, I am a teacher I have had two snow days which makes a four day weekend for me!  :)  Teaching is the BEST job ever!

  So what will I be doing all day???  Glad you asked!

First:  I have enjoyed me some yummy McDonald's breakfast and made a trip to the post office.

Next:  I plan on blog stalking and ordering a few things from TPT to share with my lovely team members.  You can find so many great things through blogs!  I LOVE all the ideas!  I appreciate everyones hard work too!  It helps out me and my team mates...lol!

While I am blog stalking and such my "snow day" shows will be playing in the background.  Nothing like some Lifetime TV when the hubby is not home.  :)

Then:  I will be wrapping up some gifts I bought for my amazing hubby for Valentine's Day.  I am so excited about my gifts, I know he is going to LOVE them!  I also love to wrap presents (I know...strange).  It just makes me feel so good once it is wrapped and decorated so beautifully.  Mom always says, "Presentation is 95% of the gift."  And she is totally right!

Finally:  I might scrapbook a little to get caught up some considering I am behind by like a year and a half...lol!  Time just sneaks by so quickly!  Scrapbooking is one of my favorite things to do.  I take so much pride in my books because I can truly express my creative side.

Once I get all of that done my sweet husband will be home and we will be spedning our night with each other.  Well, I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!  I know I will!

Mondays are....for once...FUNDAYS!

Normally, Mondays are boring and mundane.  However, today was so much fun!  My lovely cubby buddy from work received the teacher of the year award this year.  So in order to celebrate all of us girls on our team had an afternoon of fun!  We started off with a delicious dinner at Macorni Grill and then headed over to Nails So Happy for some mani's and pedi's.  Let's just say it was FANTASTIC!  It was so nice to be able to go out with the girls and enjoy something other than school.  We had such a blast!  And well our nails are SO HAPPY!!  :)

  Also, to top it off for us teachers there is a possibility of another snow day tomorrow since snow is coming in over night!  WOO HOO!!  Fingers crossed!!!

Oh me, oh my, what a week!

Well, this was our first full week of school in three weeks and oh my word!  It was absolutely the longest week ever!  I have been worn out every day!  My sweet kiddos were all out of whack too.  It is hard to get back into the swing of things after all of that.  AND NOW they are calling for MORE snow this week!  I am a little sick of it to be honest.  I do LOVE having a snow day but it just throws everything off at work.

  Anyways, I realized today that I don't blog nearly as much as I would like to.  It has become a new hobby of mine to search for new blogs and I have gotten plenty of good ideas for school and work from them.  I am hoping to blog more this week now that I am kinda back into the swing of things but then again it might not happen.  It is very hard with a full time job and a hubby, who you want to spend time with too.  Well just see how it goes.

CRAZINESS!!

So I heard some pretty crazy news yesterday and well I just have to vent for a bit.  Some people just AMAZE me with how stupid they are.  I just don't get it sometimes!  You think you know someone but then they turn around and become a totally different person (bipolar, possibly?!?).  I just don't understand how people do the things they do to the ones they supposedly "love."  But there comes a time in your life when you have to let go and move on.  Sometimes, well majority of the times, life is better without them.  Just remember that, ladies out there, life WILL be better without them in it!  I just had to get that off of my chest and vent a little.  Anyways, I hope everyone has had a great weekend with their loved ones like I have!

Couldn't be better!

Well, the past week has just been MEGA busy and normally I would complain a little about not having time for myself BUT not this time!  Let's go back to last weekend...  My brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first child so the families got together (just the women) and threw the cutest shower!  We had so much fun planning and decorating for the shower and we had a fantastic turn out.  Baby S was showered with gifts!  I don't think he could want anything else...lol!  I had never seen so many presents!  It was such a blessing!  We had the best time with our family that weekend.

  While we were home we were also able to pick up our wedding album FINALLY!!!  It was amazingly beautiful.  The pictures were phenomenal!  We couldn't be happier!  Everyone LOVED it including our photographers!  They even made a copy to show others during a Bridal Show. 

  After being home all weekend, we decided to come home Sunday since we had Monday off of work for MLK day just relax at home.  It was kind of nice having the day off but then again I had only worked one day the previous week so I thought one more day off wouldn't hurt...lol!  My husband and I just kicked back on Monday and enjoyed some time together!

  Then off course reality set in again and back to work I went.  I hate to admit it but I did miss my kiddos a little while we were off for snow.  So we hit the ground running on Tuesday and well my poor babies were not ready for it.  We slowly but surely got back into our routine when Thursday rolled around and the word "snow" was mentioned in the forecast.  Well needless to say we were off on Friday for snow.  We received an inch of snow and about a half inch of ice.  It was a little crazy considering that the previous week we only went to school one day and this week we only went three.  NOT TO MENTION, the forecast is calling for snow and ice on Monday and Tuesday of next week.  :)  Guess we will just see how it goes.

  This brings me to today.  My husband and I have been married eight wonderful months today!  It is insane how fast the time has gone by.  We have loved every minute of it.  I would have to say I could not have asked for a better person to spend the rest of my life with.  We have always said we were soulmates and as each day passes I know we definitely are!  I am so lucky!  I love him so very much!

I have wrote all of this to let everyone know that my life could not be better!  We have truly been blessed with an amazing set of parents, loving brothers and sister-in-laws, and each other.  It is the best thing in the world to know there are people out there who love you and want to spend time with you.  Our family has gotten so close over the past few years and we couldn't be happier.  Not everyone is as lucky as we are to have such a wonderful family.  We just want to make sure our families know how much we appreciate everything they do for us and for the love they share.  We cannot wait to see what this year holds for us!  Bring it on 2011, we know it will be amazing!

Thoughtless Thursdays!

So, I totally borrowed this from my sister-in-law's blog (which she borrowed from another blog)...but I thought it was a cute idea!

I have currently not been to work one single day this week and well tomorrow is Friday.  So this afternoon as I patiently waited to hear the news of school or no school, I was highly disappointed to find out that we would be going to school tomorrow.  Which is completely crazy to me since we haven't been all week long and now we are going for one day!  However, we do get to go in one hour late so ya for us!  I am just thankful to have my four snow days!  I can manage a one day work week!  :)

BE JEALOUS!!!

Why you might ask?  Well, for the past two days I have not had to work at all!  We had a major winter snow come through our area which left about 3-4 inches of snow.  Therefore, being a teacher, we got a couple snow days.  But wait it gets better!  We are out again tomorrow!!  So that would make a total of three snow days just this week!  Oh how sweet it is to be a teacher!  LOVE IT!

Oh and it is STILL snowing!!

And let the New Year begin...

My oh my...what a week!  This past week has been much needed!  We celebrated our very first Christmas as husband and wife...it was amazing!  We had so much fun cooking, baking, buying gifts, opening presents, and traveling together.  We wanted to start our own traditions for Christmas...some we could manage here at our home or back home with our parents.  Christmas Eve, we went to our church here for the candlelight service.  It was a very good service that we both enjoyed.  Then we came home for some potato soup and a movie.  We went to be and woke up Christmas morning only to find about an inch of snow outside.  I could not even remember the last time there was snow actually ON Christmas.  We were both very excited!  We cooked some homemade waffles and bacon, which was delicious, then began opening presents.  Matt was so excited about all of his presents he bought me.  He was very proud of his shopping this year.  We got so many wonderful things from one another.

After celebrating Christmas together, we traveled home to West Tennessee. We left early the next morning and well the snow had not stopped. It was coming down like crazy! Our first stop was at my parents house. It is always so nice to come home to that safe, loving feeling of your parents home. I absolutely love coming home. We were the first ones to get there but it did not take long for my brother and his wife to arrive. We all gathered around a warm fire and exchanged Christmas gifts with one another. With all of the hustle and bustle throughout the year, it was so much fun to be able to just sit around and enjoy one another's company. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my family! We could not be more blessed! Once we finished with all of our presents, we headed over to my grandmother's house to celebrate Christmas with her, her husband, and some extended family. We ate a wonderful meal prepared by MawMaw and played games. We were laughing so hard watching the table full of people trying to trade their crops with one another....needless to say it got a little loud.

The next few days at my parent's house seemed to fly by. Before we knew it, it was time to head to Ripley for Christmas with Matt's family. So we packed up the car and headed West...lol! We went to Matt's brother and sister-in-law's house to celebrate with his family. Our niece was a hoot opening all of her gifts. We got her some clothes and a game called Elefun. She was in amazement over her new game. She is cute as a button too! We had such a blast playing with her and spending time with his family. We even celebrated our first New Year together with his brother and sister-in-laws and some friends. We had the best time!

  It was so nice to have a break from the real world and be able to spend time with both of our families.  Now that our break has come to an end , I guess it is back to the real world for us both.  I hope everyone had an amazing time at Christmas with their families just like we did.  We were talking about it on the way home, how truly blessed we are to have such fantastic parents and siblings.  We love them all so very much!
